Xander Zhou Spring/Summer 2014 Show

Xander Zhou was one of the collections I was really looking forward to see, The beijing-based designer never fails to impress me and this time around you can see the improvement and growth of his whole brand. Starting from the show space – Old Sorting Office – which is much bigger than the last F/W LCM and the whole management of the show was very organized – Did get second row seating this time around! – and focused on the show!

But lets talk about the collection, Xander once again takes on the modern vision and translates it onto his garments, coming up with cyberspace silhouettes and materials – we are talking about cellophane, metal and patent here – and deconstructing shapes.

Playing with the sizes and going to the extreme, Mr Zhou entertains us by delivering a beautiful collection full of Macs, double breasted coats and tailoring – shorts and jackets
Compared to the Fall/Winter this Spring/Summer 2014 collection is much more pristine and wearable, with some of the pieces being very neutral and made for the everyday use.

Incredibly exciting the prints on the long single-breasted coats, a collage of photos and words.
I am so looking forward to attend the press day and have a closer look of each single piece. The show was attended by many VIPs, the supermodels David Gandy and Oliver Cheshire. It was great to be able to skip the standing line for once and share Jelly beans with Mr Cheshire!
