WOOYOUNGMI Fall/Winter 2014

The year of the moon is here, and WOOYOUNGMI main inspiration, for the next fall/winter 2014, can be seen on white crisp shirts featuring a crescent moon in black, and graphic geometric shaped sweaters.

Tailoring is also another big element for the Korean designer, who puts together a good bunch of looks which feature windowpane checked overcoats on checked suits, relaxed two-piece suits, and the reinterpretation of the pinstriped suit turned into a jump suit.

The colour palette isn’t over the top, but we do get, here and there a splash of burgundy red, orange and gold, As well as great materials which varies from tweed to cashmere, and the softest cottons.

More importantly and underlined, is the designer’s appreciation and influence for architecture, clear shapes and patterns, something that is shown directly to her collection. This collection is clearly for the confident guy, who likes to dare and challenge his fashion sense of style, everyday and a day-to-day basis.
