Vivienne Westwood AW15 press day was quite something, showcasing the latest collection in their HQ, right in the heart of London, I got to see the Vivienne Westwood MAN items, and the crazy Unisex collection as seen on the catwalk during LFW in March.
The inspiration for the AW15 collection is gender neutrality, and Vivienne wanted to break the rules that divide men and women. Tailoring featuring the classic Prince of Wales check, soft knitwear and Shearling jackets are the key items, and most could be worn by both girls and guys!
Plaid, houndstooth and flower-tapestry inspired prints are also seen throughout the range, as details on the collar, on the elbows or on accessories such as leather document folders.
I’d like to mention as well, the second collaboration with the Cambridge Satchel Company, featuring a Westwood print twist. The satchel comes in three different sizes, the small portable satchel, the standard, and the large Music bag! (My favourite!)
I also had so much fun trying my favourite pieces, in particular, the Shearling patchwork jacket. Vivienne certainly pulled it off again.
