Of course I was mainly there for MAN and Michael told us very interesting facts about it, every garment has its secret apparently.
But let’s start from the beginning with a short introduction, the Vivienne Westwood A/W13 collection is inspired by cycling and the designer wanted to re-invent and make something new for all the bike-lovers out there who still wish to appear ultra-fashionable, Dame Vivienne definitely made full use of her creativity and mixing the best prints and designs with the newest materials for a futuristic-like effect.
We also get to have a closer look at the Climate revolution theme, which is her approach against the CO2 emissions in the air and her way to raise a big message in the hope of join forces: that particular print is found on scarves, t-shirts and the back of some of the coats and seem to have become a common interest among the fashion world with many celebrities wearing and sharing such strong message.
Among my most desired ones, the red window-pane suit jacket with the two golden button details, the turtle-neck spotted cable-knit jumper and the deconstructed golden jacket.
On the accessory-side, we see plenty of patent colourful brogues – from yellow and orange to metallic silver and purple -, chelsea boots and loafers with the notorious orb globe embroidered on the front of the shoes.
Also the bags range for men is very big and fresh this season with leather backpacks, Tartan-checked briefcases and holdalls. It’s also impossible not to mention the wallets and porte-document pouches, made to be shiny, punky and very loud.
You will be able to have a peek at the full look book @ VIVIENNE WESTWOOD.CO.UK and I will surely keep up to date when it is available in store and online. So, which one is the item you must have?
