As usual, it was great to be able to feel the garment and see from up close the accessories and prints of the different collections, and that’s what press days are all about!
Among my favourite designers, I have to mention Belstaff; a luxury brand steeped in British Heritage. I’ve always loved their outwear range and the navy biker leather jacket was perfect in design, cut and material.
Salvatore Ferragamo was, as well, another big designer that caught my attention, with their oversized green backpack, leather monk shoes and expensive watches; a guilty pleasure and delight to look at and touch.
I was also very surprised by the story behind Turnbull and Asser, a brand that specialises entirely on making the perfect shirt, which has – only – recently started a younger range with a slim-fit shirt and very bright and colourful ties. I’ve been advised to have a look at their bespoke shop, which sounds very exciting.
Zegna was also another leading menswear brand, with their incredible range collection made by their new designer, Stefano Pilati. It was just incredible to feel the quality of each single garment, displaying also Ermenegildo Zegna Couture, as its most expensive range with a suede leather bomber jacket.
Mr Porter grooming range was very impressive, with everything you need to have if you want to look on your top form and always very neat and tidy, I think that’s a great christmas present to give to all your dapper friends. Last but not least, it’s almost impossible not to mention the wonderful home-made cakes and cocktails served at the bar, that was definitely another perk of the day!
