Realm and Empire Spring/Summer 2014 Collection

Safari and has just been made uber-cool, thanks to the fresh British brand Realm and Empire.
For this upcoming season, the R&E has taken direct inspiration from the British army reconnaissance and raiding unit in the desert; clashing and differing from the naval theme from the Fall/Winter 2013 but carrying out the spirit and ideas of the brand, this collection is already making me want to own it all.

As described on the press release “Spring/Summer 14 collection highlights include a super-light hooded Cagoule, a Bomber Jacket based on the flying jackets of the Royal Flying Corps, a mid-weight Overshirt inspired by desert uniform, classic military Cargo Shorts and Trousers in soft cotton chino twill, Desert summer weight shirts and scarves, a Blazer with authentic military detailing and a Tank Cap.”

In particular remark, it’s really worth mentioning the delightful floral print shirt, with its creamy palette and delicate flowers print on it, it’s not a surprise that it is on our SS14 must-have list.

The colour palette ranges from shades of beige, to creams and goes to the army greens and back to the navy blues; the attention to details is obviously expected from the brand, and every garments feature a vintage shuttle-loom back neck label along with the R&E personal ID label, while the outwear features a leather badge adapted from the famous guards armoured division.

It’s all about the details really, and That’s why we love Realm & Empire! Here below, you can see the photos from the SS14 look book.
