Second day of the Parisian Fashion Event involved French Colossus Louis Vuitton showing off an amazing collection full of Accessories, Bags and good ready-to-wear.
Apparently inspired by sailors and nautical, this collection translated this theme and transformed into something more classic with lots of tailoring and suits with still a naval reference (P.N the boat shoes on the first picture).
The fabric and elements used are as usual premium quality and the accessories were outstanding and stole the attention. –The sandals and the yellow keepall are a must have in my opinion–
Viktor & Rolf created a great spring/summer collection, full of light-parks and trench coats. The use of khaki and beige was dominant, all mixed with a twist of colorful warm colors such as red and orange. The collection went from very classic day-wearn garments to somewhat more sophisticaed and quirky garments.
Riccardo Tisci always comes up with great ideas, doesn’t he? as Creative Director of Givenchy, he manages to give his collection that extra edge that conquers people’s hearts and attention.
His collection for the next spring/summer focuses on the spiritual side, offering graphic tees, baseball jackets and sweatshirts all with the face of Virgin Mary painted on front. Very interesting the use of the different materials mixed together.
John Galliano and Christian Lacroix were all about colors and prints. Taking inspiration from the sea and sea creatures, John Galliano certainly didn’t bore me this time around. On the contrary, It really caught all my attention. It was like a bomb-full-o’-colors.
Featuring loose sea-shell prints and suits with a constellation or cloudy patterns/prints. Maybe not so much wearable in the streets, This collection was amazingly captivating to the eye, it had it all to take it in Paris.
Christian Lacroix went hand to hand with Mr Galliano right in the same direction with a colorful and very rebel spirited collection. It certainly didn’t fail to impress with all those bold prints. did it?
So we are only one day away from the last day of PFW, what was your favourite piece so far? and designer?
