Outfit Selection #8: Indie Glam Denim

Today’s outfit is mainly focused on denim; Denim is one of those versatile fabric that allows you to mix and match it very easily with anything you want, you can rock denim, or you can glam it up. It is synonymous of comfort but will have a great visual impact if styled correctly.

My main denim piece is the Levi’s denim jacket with the shearling collar and inside, it is not just a regular denim jacket; recalling the classic aviator jacket with a twist, this outwear will keep you away from the cold autumn thanks to the wool-y interior.

I’ve decided to mix the Levi’s jacket with an orange cableknit by Ben Sherman which will give a bit of colour and warmth to your outfit, an extra touch of denim is brought and recalled by the Levi’s denim shirt underneath the cableknit jumper.

Match the top with a pair of navy Tommy Hilfiger chinos – slim fit only – and a pair of burgundy brogues by Ted Baker, the high-shine, and the super-light sole are the extra cool touches for this look, and don’t forget, the red will link back to our mixed colour palette; red&blue.

Don’t forget to accessorise your look, and in this particular outfit, the Vivienne Westwood tartan backpack – a twist from the classic, featuring a red&blue check – is that fashionista touch for this Fall/Winter 2013. We all know how much people love the tartan check season. To finish this outfit selection off, spray on the aftershave of the moment: Burberry Brit Rhythm, the sexy and provocative fragrance that sums up the indie-glam spirit of this whole outfit dedicated to the denim.
