Outfit Selection #26: Turtle Neck

Autumn might have just begun, but that’s a great excuse to start filling the wardrobe with beautiful overcoats, chunky-knits and just general clothes to create layers in your outfits, and that’s why AW is my favourite.

Starting off the look with this gorgeous Tomorrowland cable-knit jumper featuring the current in-fashion turtle neck. This knit adds texture to your outfit and being neutral, it can be matched with print-trousers or neutral jeans. In this case, I’m mixing the jumper with a pair of Valentino‘s.

Add plenty of style, with these luxurious pinstriped trousers made of the softest cashmere wool.

An outfit wouldn’t work without the right pair of shoes and socks. To add an extra touch of colour to our outfit, I picked a pair of olde turquoise socks from The London sock company. They specialise in high-quality and uber-stylish socks while keeping it “strictly british” . Light-blue works great with it all, but you can always choose red socks, or even purple, or personal fave of mine: ceramic pink!

The shoes, in this case, are a pair of Ann Demeulemeester chunky sole oiled leather derby shoes. Sturdy and absolutely  in-season.

Finishing off, accessorizing is always an important part for an outfit selection; so we are bringing in this canvas messenger bag (for the Satchels love, we are already looking ahead into SS15 must have items here) from Tom Morris, designed with leather trims, and featuring their trademark check, which James Aparicio explained when we interviewed him!
