Shoe brand Ohw? comes back with another wonderful collaboration, this time around it’s going to be with renowned Canadian independent retailer Off The Hook.

“Off The Hook are highlighting the arrival of ohw? in store with a two-piece collaboration inspired by the legendary Herman ‘Jackrabbit’ Smith-Johannsen.
An important link between Norwegian Sami people and First Nations Cree people, the Norwegian-born engineer moved to Canada at the beginning of the 20th century and introduced cross-country skiing to the country. The Cree nicknamed him ‘Jackrabbit’ because of the speed with which he could travel on his skis. He was appointed Member of the Order of Canada in 1972.

The ohw? x OTH collaboration pays homage to his story with a six-ski loop casual stitch down boot in full grain leather in two colourways. The Black colourway represents the Cree nation with their raven hair. The Brown colourway pays homage to the Sami people using leather similar to the hides they would use to make clothes. Both boots feature intricate patterned linings reminiscent of the Cree’s trading blanket designs and the Sami’s dress embroidery.”

As shown on the pictures, these boots are very contemporary even with the lumberjack look, and even though some of you might think they look like a mix between a nike shoe and timberland boot, well, you have to think twice on their versatility. Designed to be perfectly comfortable, these boots will surely make a cut during this fall/winter period!
