You probably all know that I’m a huge Tommy Hilfiger fan, let it be the obsession for V-necks and preppy clothes; Mr Hilfiger never fails to disappoint me and always comes up with a very smart collection that strikes my attention. It may not be the most revolutionary/visionaire of them all, but it sure sets up a great style and standard on the streets. Club-Jackets, V-neck knit-sweatshirts and tailored shorts seem to reign in this dapper new collection. Stripes and very vivid color blocks are also another big deal for Hilfiger for the next spring and summer months.
Billy Reid was also another designer on fire, he manages to bring on the runway a collection full of charm and masculity. Very comfortable and designed for the gents, Reid’s doesn’t fail to impress with his key pieces. I have to say that I just adore the the jackets and how wearable they look; for everyday wear clothes to a more classy and dinner-wear outfits, Billy Reid is the guy for you.
Marc Jacobs on the other side, evolves and decides to ditch the preppy-american style and embrace a more baggy and laid back style. Oversized and large fits, we see features very colorful and striped cable-knit sweaters with the noted baggy cargo trousers. Straight jeans and particular shirts with colorful motifs are also another strong point for the next spring/summer Marc-by Marc Jacobs collection.
