Is LCM time once again, this time for the Autumn/Winter 2014 collections, from Burberry Prorsum to Alexander Mcqueen ; it’s a devotion to the British heritage and a lot of the english menswear brands.
I’ve always had a particular love for LC:M as the atmosphere is absolutely energetic, and they showcase some of my all-time favourite brands. London is always the fashion capital of the world, accommodating some of the most well dressed people in the world.
Day 1, was for me the most busy day of this season, with more than 10 shows and presentations, it started all off with John Smedley, with its colourful collection full of patterns and stripes. I particularly enjoyed the geometrical sweaters which remind me a lot of Iceberg!
Matthew Miller, also came up with a great collection, following his own signature and twist to the menswear, a lot of dark colours, leather and a basic colour palette that can go with anything and that can be timeless.
Orlebar Brown, took us to a good adventure; the JUNGLE! Showing a range of prints inspired by the jungle, you can expect Flamingos, Tropical leaves, Parrots and so on. The colour Green is very predominant.
I particularly enjoyed to see a great development of the brand, focusing more on the ready-to-wear and still creating amazing beach-wear which is what the brand is known for!
Here’s the first few pics I’ve taken during the first day, the second post is coming soon, with Xander Zhou, Gieves & Hakwes and more. So stay tuned.
