Another menswear season has been and gone in London, and I’m here to write about it! As some of you may know, last weekend I joined forces with Gc watches and made my way to LCM to discover all the latest SS17 trends and check out the new collections of some of my favourite British designers, and what a crazy busy weekend it has been!
First of all, there have been a few changes at London Collections, with some of the biggest designers like Burberry and Tom Ford dropping their shows for new ventures (see now, buy now style instead of the 6 months preview) and the British Fashion Council re-homing the hub from The Hospital Club to 180 the Strand, which I thought was a bit of a bummer, as I loved the small and cosy venue right in the heart of Covent Garden!
Anyways, as I was saying, I attended day 1 and day 2, and managed to document some of my favourite looks that I then reposted as a Instagram take over on the Gc watches uk account (@gcwatchesuk) – from Hardy Amies amazing suits and smart collection made in Savile Row, to the more relaxed and contemporary Qasimi (UAE upcoming designer), down to the amazing selection of jackets and coats from the heritage brand Barbour (famous for its waxed jackets). One thing is for sure, there seems to be a huge focus on accessories, from bags, to neck scarves, you name it (and watches too I guess)! Hats are also cool! (Bucket hats are finally in guys)
As much as I enjoyed running around like a maniac all over London, I also managed to find some time to document my daily outfits, that I styled according to the two GC-3 watches I have, one in navy and grey and the other one, the papaya watch, in orange and bright blue.
LOOK DAY 1:
KENZO TIGER BAMBOO SWEATER
BANANA REPUBLIC PLEATED LINEN TROUSERS
JACK WILLS SUEDE DERBY SHOES
LOOK DAY 2:
GLOVERALL LIGHT BLUE CAR COAT
J. LINDEBERG CAMO-PRINT SHIRT
SAMUEL WINDSOR MONK SHOES
I’d be really interested to know which one is the winner for you, and which watch you like best! The orange papaya watch that screams summer times, or the more conservative yet stunning blue/grey one?!
Stay tuned for more news about the shows in Milan and Paris!
