Burberry Prorsum Fall/Winter 2013 Editor’s Pick and Pricelist

The Animal prints are back with a soaring vengeance; if you thought that only women and rockstars could work the look then think again as Christopher Bailey made an entire collection on Tiger stripes and Cheetah spots, bring it back into the 2013 trends.

The outwear is as usual a very predominant asset of the brand, trenches and coats get an extreme animal print make over; for example, we get to enjoy an entirely leopard spots caban, featuring a contrasting scale animal spots on the lapels and sleeves to make it more refined and visually stunning – Available on the website for £5500.00

Trenches made of rubber and laminated cotton clearly show the incredible advanced materials and innovation brought to life by Bailey’s vision, making the outwear interesting and equally effective against the rain with the (rain)-shield integrated on the rubber trench coat. – The translucent rubber trench coat is available in camel on the website for £1695.00– They work a treat and they are very stylish: I must say it’s a perfect combination and the designer needs to be applauded for it.

In this Fall/Winter 2013 collection the colour palette is varied as the main focus is clearly on the prints, Military green is very common, but here and there we get to see a splash of red and camel. After all I believe the designer wanted to keep the colours of the collection plain and have the prints do the talk.

One of the bestsellers from the F/W13 Prorsum collection, and being famously seen on many celebs including Tom DaleyHarry Styles and Douglas Booth; the heart print cotton shirt seem to have made tons of fashionistas go gaga about it. It seems to have already sold out in many of the stores in London, MRPORTER and Luisaviaroma. Afterall, how can you resist such a good trend? – Heart Print Cotton shirt available in store in navy blue, deep claret, and black for £350.00

Talking about the huge accessories range; we see a repetition of the animal prints on the satchels and the weekenders, as well as the lovely heart prints seen on the shirt and transferred on iPads and Iphone cases to add that little extra chic touch to your technology.

Striped and spotted printed tote bags are entirely inspired by the traditional briefcase and have been given a new life with the bold print to make you look ready to roar. The animal print might be the little touch to give you a fashionable look to your daily outfit.

One of my favourite accessories is the small leather degrade satchel in Oxblood, very simple yet ultra chic. Designed to keep all your little gadgets – it will fit an iPad mini apparently – the bag is designed with a double zip and adjustable strap. A little leather treasure – Available on the website for £850.00
