Today it’s all about the funky and young Brit collection, known as the most accessible of the brand, with reasonably priced garments. This Burberry Brit S/S13 is specifically for the guy who likes to be trendy without being overly in your face with his fashion sense, for example wearing clothes from the Prorsum collection – no metallic bomber jackets here – that might make him feel fashion week ready and a out of his comfort zone.
Trench coats, padded jackets and puffy coats are taken into a sporty/military territory and transformed to achieve a more casual look. It’s impossible to forget to mention the killer leather jackets made for this Spring/summer, clearly re-modified from previous catwalk seasons and adapted exclusively for this range.
The colour palette is mainly based on green army shades – such as Khaki – and mustardy browns – Camel, Beige, Mustard -, keeping it all very versatile and matchable with more vibrant colours while staying true to the military-soul.
Mr Bailey needs to be praised, though, as he still manages to rock the brit collection up by playing around with hues and colorful pink, blue and red that can be spotted in some of the looks.
