Donatella Versace showed yet again another incredible collection for its Versace Men Spring/Summer 17 range , following the steps of the previous shows (AW16 remains a personal all time favourite) and mixing and matching high-end fashion elements with relaxed everyday looks.
During the show, all the guests enjoyed a short movie about the making of the AW16 campaign shot in Chicago by Bruce Weber along with Donatella herself, starring Gigi Hadid, Karli Kloss and plenty of hunks in trunks .
The SS17 range was very masculine; luxe-sportswear was a big focus this season, with see-through hooded rain jackets and sneakers mixing with well-cut tailored suits. This show felt very modern as leather and high-end craftsmanship (see the gouged leather blazers) matched perfectly with sartorial techniques.
Everybody seem to have enjoyed the chic vibe and the new direction of the brand, pulling away from the over the top and over accessorised styling that some of the old collections used to be all about. Brava Donatella!
