Versace really surprised us this season, with a collection that keeps going from strength to strength! Donatella really delivered us an incredible selection of avant-garde pieces taking inspiration from the space and many wearable garments that would make anybody look incredibly chic.
Donatella not only developed her inspiration from the space told by Nasa, and actual science! Instead she decided to mix the astronomical part with the myths of the stars and the star signs (seen as prints on ties and t-shirts), which makes the whole thing a hundred times more interesting.
The colour palette is ranging from pink/purple, to a gorgeous light blue and off-white. Versace went full-on with the research of different elements and texture
s, adding PVC, metallic foil and coloured leather throughout the range. The details are what make this collection one of the best seen at MFW. With wired metal used on space-suits featuring on the knitwear, and metal plates found on the suits and jackets.
Another remarkable elements of the FW16 range, were the shoes (all featuring the medusa logo on the sole) and the leather bags, which now have a PVC coloured protector (perfect for all those ones, who like us live in a wet country). Donatella seriously done it this time, and she has done it BIG!
