Loewe is one of those brands which isn’t afraid to experiment, and create clothes that might appear very eccentric and over the top to the average guy. But that’s why we find fashion to be a magical thing, we sometimes forget that it doesn’t always have to be commercial, and Loewe is the proof and the brand that makes our fashionable hearts skip a bit.
When Jonathan Anderson joined Loewe, he managed to make it into a brand that excels in creativity, design and attention to detail. This Autumn/Winter 2018 collection, was all about extremely beautiful outerwear, such as the super soft suede shearling coats, suede trench coats, and pea coats featuring a patchwork of different wools and patterns.
The designer continues with creating animal charms like in the previous season, only this time it’s the land animal’s turn. Beautiful key rings in the shape of a hedgehog, or a fox are found hanging on relaxed pleated trousers, and coats lapels. Another big trend for AW18 is pottery, with lots of tiny clay pots hanging on a shirt, or bright colourful pots as a necklace, the love for these is real.
Hanging on the walls of the showroom, there were lots of small photos in black and white from the campaign, featuring British actor Josh O’Connor in the role of a magician; each frame immortalise him and his two assistants doing all magical things, from gazing into a crystal ball, to making a Loewe model float in the air (of course, wearing the latest Loewe)
Well done Loewe! We love it all
