Dries Van Noten menswear Autumn/Winter 2017 collection was held in an usual car park tunnel near Porte de Versailles, in Paris, inviting us to discover his range in this all red area. The Belgian designer decided to create a FW17 collection less focused on embellishment and complicated patterns, instead Dries decided to go for something more grounded and for the guy who’s all about the quality of the fabrics and the cut.
Boxy shaped oversized camel coats, oversized overcoats and sharp tailoring were some of the eye catching pieces which took our complete attention, every piece fit into place, with models looking incredibly chic.
Still, the classic Dries , who is true a master at embroidery, couldn’t hold back to his true self and sent down the catwalk a few models wearing some remarkable flower print shirts (red on black) and embroidered patent flower print jackets.
