Dior is a signature of excellence and it strives season after season to re-invent itself while staying true to its chic prerogative.
This Winter 2016 collection just couldn’t get any better, first by starting with a list of incredibly talented celebrity guests and designers. From the former True Blood tv-star and soon-to-screen “Fifty shades of Grey” Luke Grimes, to “Matrix” actor Lambert Wilson and the notorious fashion designer/photographer Karl Lagerfeld;
And then, by giving us a surprise impromptu orchestra, made of a line of violinists, cellist, trombonist and flutist, who performed in head-to-toe Dior Homme.
For this Winter 2015/16 collection, creative director Kris Van Assche, sent down the runway an army of models wearing ultra-luxe black tuxedos styled -long tails, cummerbunds, bowties… the lot- with buttons on the lapel and on caps featuring small flowers (while continuing the Lily of the valley motif from the previous Winter season).
But it wasn’t all about formal wear, soon the collection took a different turn, offering us coats featuring a mix of Leather and denim, techno-floral print overcoats, lush leather pants and tons of lush leather handbags. Once again, Dior managed to steal my heart.
