Creative director Andreas Melbostad wanted the show to have a street feel to the runway platform, and recreated a real urban vibe. This was Andreas first men’s and women’s show, and he did a great job with staying true to the brand, while adding new exciting elements. This Spring/Summer 18 season was all about the 90s inspiration, with grunge aesthethics, with leather biker jackets and leather pants to name a few.
This S/S collection was also full of layering, with powder blue leather jackets, on top of oversized shirts; which seems more fit for a cold spring day rather than a summer one. The colour palette has tones of blue (aqua, mint, to navy blue), beige, and the more classic black.
Overall, Diesel Black Gold retained its identity while getting a few nordic tweaks that seem to work perfectly and in harmony with the brand.
