“Mens Sana in Corpore Sano” literally translated from Latin into “A sound mind in a sound body”, was the motto for Daks Spring/Summer 2016 mens collection, which was shown in Milan. For his SS16 range, Italian designer Filippo Scuffi, created a line full of beautiful and relaxed tailoring in clear colours, such as Panna (off-white), and adding touches of luxury, with light tan jackets, and leather waist coats.
Elegance was the key for the brand made in London, as the aesthetic really reflected the class of people who would enjoy a game of Polo, for example (here’s the revisitation of sportswear). The immaculate white looks were alternated with deep V-necks sweaters in blue and dusty blue suits.
The line of accessories and shoes were also very interesting, featuring weekenders with the Daks monogram in light tan, and white monk shoes with a thick sole.
The runway show featured a few of our favourite models, such as British dudes Matthew Holt and Edward Wilding, Italian sweetheart Alessio Pozzi and American classic beauty Clark Bockelman.
