Costume National Spring/Summer 2015 Close Ups

Rock-n-Roll Chic – Costume National‘s creative director Ennio Capasa draws his inspiration from all the music influences from the late 60’s and the 70’s and channels it into his SS15 collection, looking up to big icons such as Mick Jagger, David Bowie and Bob Dylan, to Keith Richards.

The collection is an ode to the sense of free elegance, while keeping in mind to look at the future with fresh eyes; The colour palette for SS15 has a wide range, the runway started with a combination of whites, light blues and mid blues, quickly developing and going down to warm hues such as oranges, shades of red and deep purples.

The trousers for Costume National, came in two different fits; flared and in skinny biker rock-chic style. While the jackets, made of suede and leather, have a classic 70s influence but are completely renovated and made to be colourful and young.

On the accessory-side, really worth mentioning, are the printed silk foulards with geometric patterns seen wrapped around the models’ necks, the studded belts (again to rephrase Mick Jagger’s style) and the hobo bags with shoulder strap.
