Cerruti 1881 made models walk on the catwalk once again, with a masculine collection for the smart cosmopolitan gent. The range started with outfits featuring double breasted suits paired with 50s style American gangster (reminiscing the old Hollywood era) overcoats and fedora hats, swiftly turned to Savile row style wool double breasted suits, and fashion forward metallic effect jumpers.
Each single outfit was very well executed, with accessories such as gloves, weekender bags, being carefully selected to match the whole concept. The brand also didn’t forget to add some strong casual pieces, such as the total denim outfits and bomber jackets, which showed just how versatile Cerruti is.
The designer, Jason Basmajian has showed us with this collection, how you don’t have to fully re-invent a brand to stand out amongst the crowd, instead, with well executed classic tailoring pieces, mixed with contemporary style ones, can send shock waves through the fashion world.
