Belstaff Spring/Summer 2016: Desert explorers

Imagine discovering the wonders of the desert, becoming an intrepid and courageous figure with an iron will and the hunger of finding the beauty of the Sahara: Belstaff S/S16 collection, which showcased on the third day of LCM, was inspired by the desert explorer. Showing a range of clothing featuring described influences, the brand made us enjoy a selection of outerwear strictly in a Beige/Brown palette, that recalls the colour of the dunes (for camouflaging purposes perhaps?! very smart!).

Among the classic pieces, we get to see a good twist on the infamous Belstaff signature piece – the leather jacket. Lots of relaxed fitting summer parkas featuring an intricate print were also present, while suede is also another of the fabrics chosen for the Sahara cape, and the classic field jacket. The trousers seen on the models, seem to have multiple pockets, and are seen in white, beige and light brown.

Frederik Dyhr, the Belstaff creative director explained further “It’s an exploratory collection that injects technical innovation and contemporary fabrications into Belstaff’s iconic silhouettes, evolving elements of military and heritage gear for a modern Belstaff identity”

Well, we definitely feel like we know how to dress up for a desert adventure!
