Acne studios presentation started with delivering us a pretty unique experience, right from when we got inside the show space! We started with hanging out in the backstage …odd, right? Chairs were scattered around, and people from the industry were working and fretting around clothes and make up stations; a guy soon called us and asked us to get ready, go in line and wait for the “now” instruction. He quickly hushed us to the front stage.
Yes, we were catapulted onto the runway and we were the models!! Incredible, what did just happen?
That’s what the brand Acne always strives to do. Deliver only the best and slightly odd events, like from last season’s quite unique university lesson in selfies, to this season’s runway experience.
Models were opposite the catwalk platform, staring at us, and sitting on chairs. I guess they were meant to be the spectators (or fashion guests). Most guys were wearing oversized and relaxed clothes, such as high waisted pants (some extra wide), and big cotton coats.
Trousers were, some matched with wife beater tank tops featuring a rose motif patch, while others with intarsia knit jumpers and blazers. Interestingly, almost all the models were wearing woven sandals or slingback slippers in yellow, brown and white to add that idea of summer. Just simply amazing!!
