I’ve always wanted to see with my own eyes the beauty and appeal of the South of France: beautiful coast lines, the lightest blue sea, palm trees and fresh fish served in most restaurants; so on my birthday we made it all happen with a “surprise” journey to Nice and Monaco.
Reaching Monte Carlo by taxi was one of the great ways to discover the surrounding, as we were taken on a little tour of the small towns in between (such as Villefranche sur mer) and it was pretty much an all up-and-down journey around the hills – believe me, the views are just gorgeous.
Of course, I made sure I was armed with my camera and couldn’t have said no in doing an editorial in this gorgeous city.
Today I’m showing you guys how I styled these amazing Valentino trousers; were shantung, butterflies, and lots of different flowery prints invaded the catwalk.
I’ve always very much admired the work of Valentino Garavani, as one of the most prestigious labels for womenswear, fast forward to today and the menswear side is definitely sky-rocketing right now (It’s a must see during PFW). Armed with plenty of creativity, and an eye for success, former assistants (and now creative directors) Mr Pierpaolo Piccioli and Ms Maria Grazia Chiuri, are expanding this V-world to a whole new range of customers.
In these photos, I posed around the Casino, where excess and luxury can be found, walked the gardens that led to the Fairmont hotel and framed some of the best views of the quay were the yachts are. Pretty awesome, right?
