The modern gentleman of today knows how to style his outfit with impeccable precision, fusing 1960s inspired over coats with modern denim jackets. Mixing colour palettes with extreme determination, while staying true to his own style. Experimenting with different textures, while keeping it classy.
Now more than ever, we live in a society where everything we put on our back, is a reflection of our own personal taste, it’s a way to dare and re-invent ourselves. And that’s what I tried to achieve today with this look.
In this editorial, I’m showing off some of my favourite key-pieces from to the latest SS15 range by Jack Wills – I’m incredibly excited about this, as the brand’s new creative director Richard Nicoll, famous for his colourful vision and precision, has just taken the new collection to another level.
Offering a menswear range fusing the vibes from 60s with the pop influence from the 90s, Mr Nicoll just showed us that he can do-it in style. From the outstanding wool overcoat to the chunky cable knit jumper, and the denim jacket with patches, this shows the subtle yet effective transformation, and exactly how fashion-forward Jack Wills is!
My favourite garment? The Oxburgh Wool overcoat, classic in style and made of the softest wool, it features an original chevron pattern, a contrast collar and it’s just the perfect jacket to keep you warm while looking chic and sophisticated (It’s also very easy to dress it up with a suit, or dress it down, with jeans and a chambray shirt)
“Jack Wills is not just about creating wardrobing for young adults, it’s for anybody with a youthful spirit” Richard Nicoll mentioned; I just couldn’t agree more with him and look forward to seeing his creations for the next seasons to come.
