When I was asked to work with John Lewis and select some of my favourite pieces from the Autumn/Winter 2015 range, I knew I couldn’t say no. I love collaborating with big department stores as they give you a big option of choosing from a range of different brands , and different styles.
It makes creating the post so much more personal, and you might find exactly the perfect pieces that scream your name or were longing for a very long time! My Autumn edit is “Statement Versatility”: I picked some garments that can be styled in many different ways (hence the versatility), and used to create layers, or as THAT main sophisticated piece that will turn people’s heads.
Shooting in Central London (back streets of Oxford Circus), I’m showing you guys two ways to wear a Polo Ralph Lauren jumper along with the new Sonora Diesel denim shirt (part of the John Lewis Contemporary renewed): the first way was to use the denim shirt as the main piece, perfect for warmish Autumnal days, I wrapped my jumper around the neck and used it *almost* as an accessory.
The good thing, is that you can switch it and create layers by simply putting the sweater on. If it’s particularly cold, you can look stylish by adding another layer such as a parka and a scarf to finish off the look. Using different textures, materials and layers will make your outfit stand out incredibly!
Wear the combination with jeans, (I’ve picked a pair of beige jeans to create contrast, but double denim is cool too) and a pair of rubberised brogues.
WHAT I’M WEARING:
