Some of you may know that I have a deep fascination with Japan, and everything that comes from that country in the far east Asia. The food is amazing, the culture is totally different and most importantly, some of my favourite designers come from Japan, the likes of Issey Miyake and Yohji Yamamoto are the prime examples of asiatic excellence and creativity.
In these photos taken in East London, I wore some of Japan’s finest Strike Gold raw denim jeans by the Yamamoto family (we all know that Japan is the capital of prime denim, right?) and matched them with the softest scarves by Tamaki Niime, a designer that focuses on the production of scarves made of “Banshu-ori” , a cotton fabric produced in Japan with over 2 centuries of tradition. A true beauty that makes a big difference from the over-produced and commercial stuff you get from brands you find on the high-street!
If you guys keep up with my Instagram account, you might have noticed that Seijaku published an interview I did with them a few weeks, with my thoughts on Japanese fashion, my favourite SS15 trends, and how I started my blogging journey back in 2012, so you should go and check it out here.
