Green spaces, Chinese signs, shapes, and exotic places that are so far far away from Europe are incredibly fascinating, that’s what I wanted to capture on my next editorial – The good things about oriental metropolis (especially HK), are the east meets west vibe going on, the way they adapt with their original surroundings, and how they reflect and project the future through technology and skyscrapers.
In these photos, I tried to imitate the same concept, fusing a classic well tailored suit with a technical cardigan featuring geometric shapes, and making it look modern and perfect for the day time. (We keep seeing on the catwalk, more and more suits matched with sneakers, knitwear and casual-wear)
Standing out from the crowd, I chose to wear this TM Lewin mohair blend Hawkins suit – yes, you’ve heard it correct. Being a mohair blend, it is softer to the touch and it adds that premium quality look to the fabric ( see the details product shots). I particularly loved this slim-fit suit, as it almost looks chambray-ish, and to me, it has a young factor. Which gives you the freedom to dress it up as you wish, or make it more casual.
I also wore a pair of leather chunky-sole brogues, and the merino cardigan featuring an hexagon pattern to finish off the look.
In this editorial, I was discovering the district of Sha Tin, known for its race course, and went for little walk to the park; well let me say, It was definitely worth it as I found some of the most gorgeous trees and plants to use as background.
