Linen, soft fabrics, light colours and loose silhouettes are all great components that make Spring fashion amazing! While there’s still a chance to be able to layer an SS outfit (it’s not all about short sleeve shirts and shorts), the fact that you can pick lighter softer fabrics makes the whole thing very interesting and the best way to keep your smart appearance, even during the hot summer months.
So today, I’m showing off a SS15 outfit from Without Prejudice, the North West London tailoring company, winner of the Drapers awards 2014 “Menswear brand of the year”, and known for its attention to detail and great fabrics choice.
(If you are new to them, you must know that we collaborated with the brand before on The Wild Swans, so make sure to catch up on the old posts too!)
This Spring outfit is mainly inspired by the colour blue, keeping the colour palette in tune with the main primary colour while choosing different fabrics and textile in different tones of blue. The blazer for example, is dark navy but features a few details (stitching) in baby blue, and an interesting paisley-print pocket square.
Matching the blazer, the Stafford easy blend reef blue shirt, in a slimmer fit and made of 100% Italian cotton (Being linen, I assure you it’s super soft on the skin and looks great) and a pair of pastel blue trousers that seemed to be matching one of the front doors that I found during the shoot. Now, that’s an amazing blending!
