Burberry Prorsum Fall/Winter 2013 Menswear and Close Ups
It's hard to find a fault from a collection made by Christopher Bailey, each season this master of fashion pulls out the hat amazing "tricks", and we just can stay put in complete awe while we glance at the beauty of his clothes.
The magic of Mr Bailey's that he knows how to play with fashion, he gathers the classic and mix it with materials that are considered almost-futuristic, the result is always considered top-notch by the big ones of the industry. For this Autumn/Winter collection, It's all about the animal prints.
The timeless and elegant trenchcoats get a little make over and become fierce and strong, reminding the beauty of the animal world found only in the jungle.
We get a glance of the accessory line which goes hand in hand with the ready-to-wear collection; Holdalls, sunglasses and small men bags get the same treatment displaying little tiger-print lining on the front-side or even better, a complete cheetah-spots-do all over the weekender to make anybody stand out the crowd. The sunglasses also go wild, as the spots are found on the lenses and the frame.
Burberry Prorsum Fall/Winter 2013 wasn't just a safari-themed show, contrasting with the animal world, we get a mouthful of charming hearts on cable-knit jumpers that bring to mind the technological and over-used emoticons, military-style outwears that never disappoint and the more daring semi-transparent latex raincoats that come in different and interesting hues such as smokey-brown, dirty-white and purple.
It's quite clear that the Burberry brand has decided to keep together the classic elements of the brand and modernizing it with that twist of the 22nd century stuff that we seem unable to get enough of.
It isn't just on the clothes, it's also becoming very noticeable in store - did you take a trip to the Regent Street flagship store recently , They have magic mirrors!!! - and the way they deal with the shows.
For all the savvy tech people out there who had the pleasure to follow up the show, you'd know that you could have had a sneak-a-peek of the behind the scenes just by following the link given by the mastermind Christopher Bailey himself.
It's always a great surprise whenever a new collection is brought to life at each fashion week, as we can't help but stand there, totally charmed by such beauty.
